| On the 'net many Quebecois have stated that they hope that this movie will gain an English audience, I assume because they think it too French. However, coming from a Kiwi in Canada that doesn't understand French, nor hockey, I found this movie to be thoroughly refreshing and humourous. | A clever, insightful, dark, twisted follow-up to the original Ginger Snaps. Almost unique in it's approach of portraying a werewolf as the protagonist slowly undergoing the physical changes as the virus slowly takes control. A nice build of tension throughout and subtle use of effects. As the first movie parallels the menstruation cycle to the transformation into a werewolf, this movie parallels drug addiction to the use of a herb to stay the transformation. First, a disclaimer: I never saw the trailer for this movie or any other marketing, and therefore had no idea what it was about. Without preconceived notions it’s actually pretty good.
A clever little movie that deserves a bit more acclaim than has been given it here. Unfortunately the other reviewers gave away part of the plot/structure (by saying what kind of movie this isn’t) and I would have enjoyed this movie even more without knowing what they had revealed.

This is certainly off-topic with regard to movies (although a very green topic for the green room). It struck me as I was walking through my neighbourhood today. In Toronto we have new garbage bins given to us by the city. Based upon the amount of garbage you accumulate you pay a fee per month.
