Where To Go After Watching "The Notorious Bettie Page"... - Zoodles |
     |
Curious about Bettie Page? Have you watched "The Notorious Bettie Page" and wanted to see what the fuss was all about? This DVD is where you should go if you want to see the real Bettie Page for yourself.
This DVD is a time capsule with over 80 minutes of Bettie Page in her "movie" roles which were documented and recreated in the recent movie about her life. By today's standards this is pretty mundane stuff but in context of the time they were made in they probably were pretty shocking. ... More |

Epic and a glimpse of what James Dean could have been... - Zoodles |
     |
I watched this on TMN a while ago and felt compelled to zip it.
James Dean is electrifying in this, his final movie role (a grand total of 3 movies in his young life). In my opinion Dean really shows his potential here more than East Of Eden or Rebel Without A Cause. This movie really shows that Dean is/was more than just a cultural icon. He truly had amazing acting ability and it is evident in this role.
Rock Hudson and Elizabeth Taylor do very well here as well; but it is Dean ... More |

Amusing and heartwarming... - Zoodles |
     |
Here is a movie that I watched in the theatre and liked so much that I bought it on VHS. Then I bought it on DVD and if it ever comes on Blu-Ray I will probably buy it on that format too!
Now here are three actors who have really fallen from the public consciousness. The most obvious example is probably Tom Selleck who had phenomenal success on Magnum P.I. but was unable to translate that into consistent success in movies; despite some good performances. This has been going on for several weeks now and I am starting to get a little ticked.
I checm my account daily, review others reviews etc. If I am off the site any time at all it logs me off! I cannot seem to access any kind of setting in my accounts setting to fix this.
Very annoying though and if there is a fix someone please implement it. :(

Zoodles on "What was the very first DVD you ever purchased?"

Jeesh!
Those are some blasts from the past! I remember the Treble Clef (I am from Ottawa originaly). Man, do I ever remember spending hours going to record stores and brosing through the stuff. I also remember hunting down hard to find stuff. With e-bay now almost anything you want is easy to find if you have the $$$.
My first CDs were a couple of Triumph CDs before I even got my first player (1985). Rock and ROll Machine and The Game. My first DVD? Hmmmm... It would have been late 1999 but for the life of me I can't remember.
