A complete mess... - DoubleDownAgain
To be fair, I didn't finish watching the film after only making it halfway through. I very very rarely turn a film off but I couldn't take anymore. I'm also usually a big Parker Posey fan but she was awful in this, probably because of the horrible screenplay and the awful direction. Well crafted film - DoubleDownAgain
Maybe I expected too much but for me it didn't live up to the hype. It was well crafted, well written and acted piece about an infamous time in American history. David Strathairn was spot on as Edward R. Murrow. It was a wise choice to shoot in black & white as it gave a feel of the time when the footage of the proceedings were in black in white. I'd give a recommendation to those who like period dramas, but I think many will find the pace to be too slow.
