Substance - Ilania
Seems quite true to the book. Deborah Kerr has an incredible screen presence. The story is captivating, England's countryside scenery is absolutely ravishing. It would have helped if there were subtitles at times. The characters are well acted. Worth seeing, but perhaps one has to read the book again before watching this series.Enjoyable - Eddie
So far from what I have seen, it is very close to the novels. The cast has brought to life the characters in the book and now I have faces to put to them. The only flaw would be on the heavy english accent the cast spoke with, which made it a little hard to follow at times. That broke my concentration and I couldn't feel part of the story as I did when reading the story.
