ER: Season 1
"No hour of TV is more gripping than ER." - Time
I first wrote E.R. back in 1974 as a record of my experiences as a medical student in a hospital emergency room. But it was not until the fall of 1994, 20 years later, that these stories appeared as a new television series. That must surely be the longest creative gestation in modern television, but it was worth it. Audiences found the show to be fast paced, fresh and real, and it drew a loyal following from its very first episode. But if the past was remarkable the future was even more so: none of us involved in those early days of E.R. could have anticipated its long and remarkable run as one of the best and most popular television shows in the history of the medium. From it's early days to the exciting present, it's been one long thrill for me, and I think for audiences as well. Enjoy!

Good show at the beginning but ran it's course... and then kept going... - Sheenie
I liked this show when it first came out. It was different (it had been a while since a prime time hospital show had been on air) and it had George Clooney. This series made him famous but he'd had roles in different series for years (starting with "The Facts of Life") so I had a crush on him long before ER came out, which makes me somehow more entitled to him than other people... Anyway, it started out really good but went downhill. Too many bad twists and turns to keep it going and suddenly someone is gay because that was the trendy thing to do in Hollywood at the time. You might like the series to begin with but expect it to lose steam if you watch to the end.I love ER! - bert55
As a die hard addict of this show I have been going through withdrawal this fall. The solutions is to go back and start at the begining again. I had forgotten how in depth the characters were right from the begining. I had forgotten about the emotional turmoil between Carol and Doug Ross, and Dr. Green and his wife. It is absolutley riveting even though I have seen it all before. Grey's Anatomy has nothing on ER!La meilleure saison - Alex22
