I have never really watched family guy as a series on tv but I really wanted to see what the movie was all about. While the show can be abrasive and sometimes too rude for my liking it is also terribly funny and a valide Simpsons replacement in my books. Family Guy is the funniest show I have ever seen. Period. It's unique, witty and gut busting hilarious. It often takes more than one viewing to catch all the jokes both visual and auditory. The more you watch Family Guy the more you love it and the more you laugh. One of the best insany seasons of Family Guy - Pr0metheus
The third (and once final) season of Seth MacFarlane's Family Guy not only outshined the previous two seasons; it pushed the limits of censorship barriers on prime time network TV. Even more hilariously irreverent than one could imagine, we witness Griffin patriarch Peter lose his job and try to fulfill his dream of being a jouster at the local renaissance fair. Wife Lois (voiced by MAD TV alum Alex Borstein) takes karate lessons, which find her kicking anyone and everyone's butt, and later goes off the deep end at Christmas time. Oldest, oafish son Chris (voiced by Seth Green) identifies a bank robber and is forced, along with his family, to flee to the South under Witness Protection (one of the funniest episodes in the whole series), daughter Meg (voiced by Mila Kunis) attempts to get a job working at the local news station, and baby Stewie attempts to spoil his parent's plans to have another child, and later gets stuck to family dog Brian with super glue. Death also returns (voiced by Adam Carolla, replacing Norm McDonald), seeking love advice from Peter as Lois takes on a faux Scavenger Hunt organized by Peter to stall her so he can play golf. As you can tell by now, season three of Family Guy pushed the barriers, and thanks to Fox shuffling it around its schedule on a regular basis (and numerous battles with the FCC), the show was sadly cancelled. However, as we all know by now, Family Guy was miraculously resurrected thanks to stellar DVD sales, and the incredibly high ratings the re-runs achieved on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim lineup. All in all, this collection of episodes is a celebration of animated hilarity and lunacy, and is a must own for Family Guy fans one and all.
