This is one of the greatest short lived series that has ever aired! I think that America was just not ready for this show when it came out because about a decade later, this show is still relevant to issues of today. While Angela is sometimes hard to relate to, there are so many vibrant, multi-sided, and hilarious characters in this show that you just get upset it only lasted one season.Peckish for More! - movie_goer
My so Called Life: is skillful, fearless, work of art. Claire Danes gives her heart and soul to a touching coming of age drama. 1 Complete season openly covers subjects about slef-esteem to crossing the law. When Dane's character starts A new year of school something just snaps. No longer teachers pet, she meets 2 odd balls who later become her friends. also falls in love with a bad boy (Jared Leto). The show is masterful and perfect in every aspect, leaving too soon. The story goes it was cancelled cause CBS didn't want to take a 2nd year of the show, in '04 Claire Danes announced it was her backing out for a movie career instead that Turfed the show. Having seen many tv shows from late 80's up until now about the lives of teenagers I have to say I absolutely loved this show, Angela(Claire Danes) Family in this show is a typical family with typical problems, and the show emphasizes on real high school situations and doesn't sugar coat them at all! In my opinion, others could entirely disagree but I enjoy watching shows that show realistic characters with realistic problems! Again one of the best shows Ive seen, its a shame it didn't have more seasons....
