Soooo funny... - LoveTVDVDs
I knew I liked this show when it was first aired but I didn't know how funny it really was. Intelligent, hilarious, great cast, superb writing. Adds a degree of interest that it seems to have been set either in the World Trade Centre or a nearby building. It's ten years old but hasn't aged at all, except of course in terms of the athletes who were big then, compared to now.
I know that when I have watched all 39 episodes, I will be wishing for at least that many more. The Best Show You've Never Seen - Camryn
TV Guide rated this show one year as "The best show you've never seen" and they were right. Despite the name of the series it appeals to everyone who appreciates intelligent humour, excellent writing and well developed believable characters. Strong quirky women are portrayed with respect from their fellow castmates and the men are equally respected. Never do they resort to the stereotypes and broad slapstick humour so prevalent in today's sitcoms and this shows amazing respect to the viewers which I appreciated. Excellent show, wish it had lasted longer.Sports Night - roosterlady
A great series that probably never received the recognition it so clearly deserved because of its name. As a woman, I steered a thousand miles clear of it. I truly HATE sports! My husband recently wanted to watch it as he was recovering from surgery and lo and behold --I discovered this gem. The "sports" angle is on the periphery. GREAT! It's SO good, in fact, that we've just purchased it (my idea). A first.
The characters are amazing, normal without being too odd or the least bit boring. Many of the actors have gone on to other, more acclaimed series.
Aaron Sorkin is a genius with dialogue.
Don't miss it!
