Starship Troopers: Special Edition
A New Kind Of Enemy. A New Kind Of War.
From the bridge of the Ticonderoga, with its sweeping galactic views, to the desolate terrain of planet Klendathu, teeming with shrieking, fire-spitting, brain-sucking special effects creatures, acclaimed director Paul Verhoeven crafts a dazzling epic based on Robert A. Heinlein's classic sci-fi adventure. Casper Van Dien, Dina Meyer, Denise Richards, Jake Busey, Neil Patrick Harris, Patrick Muldoon, and Michael Ironside star as the courageous soldiers who travel to the distant and desolate Klendathu system for the ultimate showdown between the species.

Remember seeing this in theatre. Was really excited, "A NEW HEINLEIN NOVEL BECOMES MOVIE!"
So,I was majorly disappointed yet enjoyed the movie. Feels very Robocop and it should. Same director. The style of this movie makes it worth watching. Seeing the propaganda set up to be just like the Nazi's was both brilliant and frightening. This is Fun, Adventure, SCI-FI at it's most colourful and "In Your Face" storytelling.
What made Disc 1 most attractive to me was the multiple Commentaries with Director, Crew and Actors. Great way of learning what the thinking was behind why this movie was made the way it was and a fun look into how movies are made.GREAT MOVIE - Birtch
I remember the first time that i ever saw this movie. i was on a school trip and watched on one of my friends portable DVD player. the thing was i was on the top bunk and he was on a bed across the room so all i really herd was the dialog.
Despite only hearing the dialog i still loved the movie. i did manage to actually see this movie and it was great. everything you expect their to be in an action scifi. aliens, explosions, guns and how women. this movie is well worth watching.Great scifi movie even better book. - Logos
Have to think that the guys who made Halo got some of their ideas from this movie. Very good if somewhat a turn off your brainer. Check out the book though. It's not very long so you shouldn't have anytrouble getting though it but it will be worth it. Kind of shows how Hollywood ruins a good thing. If they had made the movie like the book it would have been even better. They follow the same plot but some caracters don't even exist in the book.
