Good Movie - ladytonia
I enjoyed this mini series. I had read the book years ago and never got around to watching the series. Finally did and I enjoyed it. There are a couple of places where you just want the story to move along, but overall a good production. The scenery is good, brought back memories of a trip to Rome and Athens.Tears and Frustration - buddha
With Richard Chamberlain, how can you go wrong. I watched this mini-series on TV when it was originally aired (Shogun as well) during my teenage years.
It made me cry then, it makes me cry now. A tragedy will always be a tragedy, much as you'd love the story to change, it never has the happy ending. But if a tear jerker is what you want, this is a classic.
