Nero Wolfe: Season 2 Disc 1 - TheWiz
Season 2 Disc 1 lost much of the flavour and punch as opposed to Season 1 which is "a must see" for who-dunnit & Rex Stout fans. Death of a Doxy, featuring Kari Matchett, a Canadian, is a MUST SEE. Excellent all around performance by Kari makes this installment a classic. The other two episodes are just OK. Not as well produced. I confess to owning every Nero Wolfe (Rex Stout) book and having thoroughly enjoyed each and every one from Fer de Lance upward. 4 star for Death of a Doxy and 2 stars for the other 2 episodes.Better than ever - Radio_Jane
With more episodes, and great special features, season two of this phenomenal show is even better than season one. Notable episodes include "Help wanted, male" and "cop killer". The special features include the movie A&E aired before it started the series, and an episode in 16:9 format. Be sure to watch the little making of featurette. This is absolutely a must for Nero Wolfe fans it shows you behind the scenes making of some of the episodes interviews with Nero and Archie and alot of the history of how the novels came to life in the series! It also includes The Golden Spiders which was supposed to be a "one off" and turned into the series it was so well received...all worth watching and very entertaining in itself....bring on more Nero Wolfe I say!
