Just as bad as I expected - LunaSkya
The only reason I rented this DVD was to see Stephen Colbert's only ever (at least so far) dramatic role. Why Colbert agreed to be in this show is a mystery - maybe he just can't stay away from Catholicism-themed stuff. His acting is surprisingly good; it's beautiful to watch him break down for something other than laughs. But the writing is pretty stilted and the preachy one-liners are just plain embarrassing. Why couldn't Colbert's only ever dramatic role be in something that's actually well written?Lucrative franchise - Cricri7
The creator of the Law and Order series, Dick Wolf, has the recipe for creating shows that the public likes. Renting a series if often the way to go, because we often have hectic lives and don't have the time, or are too tired, to sit down and watch an entire hour of television with all the commercials. This series takes you in and you just want to watch another episode. The only bad thing I can say about this series is that the spotlight is often on Vincent D'Onofrio and his consort is left watching him and saying : "You are right". They should have given her a little more space to act. Otherwise, if you like the Law and Order series, you will love this show.Intense! Gripping! - ScarletAngel
Each episode just made me want to see more. Each one was an intense investigation of a major crime that was perpetrated by seemingly ordinary people. I didn't see the first two seasons but I have to say that Season 3 is worth checking out. Vincent D'Onofrio takes getting into the criminal's mind to a different level.
