Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 7
"We don't know how to fight it. We don't know when it'll come. Can't run, can't hide... can't pretend it's not the end because it is. Something has always been there to try and destroy the world. We've beaten them back, but we're not dealing with them anymore. We're dealing with the reason they exist. Evil. The strongest. The First".
- Buffy, Bring On The Night
Buffy faces the ultimate "first" evil in the final season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer!
Dawn enters high school at the newly rebuilt Sunnydale High, where Buffy lands a job as a guidance counselor. Willow struggles to deal with her magic and Xander worries over Anya's return to vengeance. The First targets Buffy and the rest of the Scooby gang, playing at their greatest fears and weaknesses. A final showdown looms as all potential slayers arrive in Sunnydale to help Buffy stop an Apocalypse.

Season 7 is where everything got all together. No wasted episodes anywhere.
UPN having given Joss the freedom to do just about anything he wanted gets the big pay-off of having created one of Buffy's best seasons (tied for #1 with me due to the 'no filler' bit).
Finally we find out what is under the Hellmouth, what is so darn evil about it, why it will destroy the world, and what Spike has to do with it, and how the principal of the new Sunnydale high school might have to do with it ....
It ends with a bang-up conclusion (literally and figuratively).
If you want to see what happens after season 7, there are comic books! (and now the season 8 motion comic, voiced by not the actors of the series). One of my favorite seasons - Believe_18
I think this season is one of my favorite's, if not my very favorite. It has great action, stories, and actually closes a lot of the open books that had been left open from previous seasons. I particularly liked that fact that the writers had the insight to let it be linked to "Angel" so aspects of Buffy could be carried over to that series.Brilliant - Rachel1
Ah the final season. Joss Whedon's brilliance comes to an end on the Buffy front. Angel continued after this point in the original airing time. And if you really love Joss, you might be watching his new show, Dollhouse, which is also excellent. So many characters are revisited in this season. And if you think it ends this way, you are mistaken. Joss wrote Season 8 into a comic series! The comic has even more old characters that the final season. Fantastic!
