One of the best Canadian series I've ever seen. If you want a crash course in investment banking and finance, this is it. The deriveratives trader character, Grant Jansky (played by David Hewlett, also known for his role as Dr Rodney MacKay on Stargate: Atlantis) was my favourite character.
I also very much enjoyed that it was set in Toronto. I hope the other seasons are released on DVD soon.Please release the other seasons on DVD! - suzanne
"Traders" was the pinnacle of Canadian TV in the 1990s -- the show was smart, intelligent, well-written, competently acted, and actually focused on CANADIAN issues and business culture.
It's a shame it only lasted five seasons, though the last season did feel a bit tedious in terms of plotlines and some of the characters.
So far only Season 1 has been released on DVD... here's hoping Alliance releases the other four!
I'm docking one star from this rating because the DVDs do not include ANY extras whatsoever, which is a little disappointing.
