This season is by far my favborite of all the seasons, that includes the first, I loved Doyal. The main high point of the entire season is the addition of Spike to the cast, he makes the entire season fun, from his constant barrating of Angel and how much of a tool Angel is at most times, showing that just because you have a soul doesn't mean you have to be a total brooding sap, or even when Spike takes the Chan Chu proficey away form Angel, not because he wanted to be human again, but because it would piss off Angel.Didn't fade away - dmarks36
This season didn't 'fade away' but exploded and was by far the best of an excellent series. Adding Spike, making the characters out of their areas of comfort and killing off Fred brought a depth of story and plot uncommon to episodic televison. It is a tragedy that the show was cancelled by demonic powers that be - any causality in the lack of taste of the networks and their continual underselling to the viewing audience. The Addition of Spike - Petite
After the loss of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I was really counting on Angel to pull through and lead us to the next level of of Josh Whedon's mind. This seaon did not disappoint. The acting between characters Angel and Spike was the most spactacular antagonostic fued since Krystal and Alexis in "Dynasty". Spike was the best addition to the show, making the season totally worth watching, even though we knew that it was the last season there was to be. I'm gonna miss you!!
