One of the best sitcoms ever! - Cricri7
I had watched Murphy Brown on and off when it first aired, but I did not remember how funny it was. I love this television series in part because of the political humor in it. This has not been done a lot on television. The sitcoms rarely go the political route and the producers and writers did an excellent job here. I have to say that they surrounded themselves with excellent actors. Actors often have one role that define them and for Candace Bergen it was Murphy Brown. This role stuck to her and it is not surprising that she won Emmy awards for her portrayal.

MURPHY BROWN WHO IS THE BEST REPORTER FOR FYI. SHE HAS A LOT OF PERSONAL PROBLEMS AND SHE IS CONSTENTLY LOOKING FOR A SECTURITY. HER HOUSE IS ALWAYS BEING PAINTED AND THE REPORTERS ARE ALL ONE BIG FAMILY. A LOT OF FUNNY LINES WITH GOOD PUNCH LINES. Upon watching Murphy Brown again for the first time in probably 8 years, I was happily reminded that this was a good show. Maybe even a great show! The characters and new and fresh again, and watching this show after a long break really does gives you a brand new perspective on it! All I can really say, is give Murphy another chance, she will knock your socks off!
