Charmed: Season 1
Protecting the innocent, vanquishing evil and evil doers, and generally righting wrongs are not exactly on the agenda of every twenty-something on the fast track to discovering what life's all about. But for the Halliwell sisters, this has become their destiny.
Prue, the oldest, is driven to succeed and dislikes the free-spirited antics of the youngest sister Phoebe. Piper, the earthy middle sister, mediates between her siblings. Phoebe discovers The Book of Shadows in the attic and their witchly powers are activated, igniting a bond that reaches beyond petty, sisterly grudges. Prue has the power to move objects, Piper to freeze time and Phoebe to see the future. The sisters must band together to protect themselves, and the world, from the dark, demonic forces that seek to destroy them.
It's an existence fraught with excitement and danger, but these three unique sisters wouldn't trade their "charmed" lives for anything!

I started watching this show because I thought it would be something fun to do with my daughter, who likes the show. I know it's just a TV budget, but some of the special effects are horrendous and I sometimes found it hard to get through some of the cheesier moments without cringing. I know the show is quite a bit older, and you'd think aimed at a younger audience, but there's quite a lot of sex mentioned for the "tween" audiences that seem to enjoy this show. Still fun, I guess.Enjoyable To Watch!! - Peg_Luvs_Rick
Charmed is a wonderful show to watch. Love the characters. They're funny, witty, and a little querky.
You don't have to believe in witchcraft to enjoy this show, but if you enjoy some laughs,as well as smart & sexy actors, then you will surely enjoy Charmed:)Growing Pains - Starcat
I started watching "Charmed" on TV after Shannen Dougherty's character (Prue) was no longer on the show. It was good to get back to the beginning and as with many TV show, the first episodes can have some growing pains. The introduction of the lives of the 'charmed ones' is interesting however, some of the plots can be cheesy at times. Since I know that it gets better I look forward to the rest of the seasons to see how it develops & grows.
