His 26 productions have won numerous awards and prizes including 18 Emmys, three Blue Ribbons in the American Film Festival, the Peabody Award, and First, Second, and Third Prize in the Chicago Film Festival in the same year - an honor which has never since been matched. His original contributions remain important to today's young and adult audiences.

Fun to watch again after all these years - jacksanjase
"It's a Mile From Here to Glory" is about teamwork and perseverence. A shy young boy who would run home instead of riding the bus with the other students. He didn't know at the time that he was a track star in the making.
That he would also have a tremendous hurdle to overcome if he was going to continue to run.
The second show "Thank You, Jackie Robinson" was sweet. About the friendship between a young boy and an old man and there love of baseball in particular, Jackie Robinson.
