I've been watching through from Season 1 until this and it get more and more exciting as it goes. It never disappoint you in any episode. Dialog was really good and without a doubt that everyone looks more comfortable and more funny than they used to be in the earlier season.I like big butts and I cannot lie! - hilkayaker
That episode is the best one ever! Sir Mix a Lot being the only one who can make Emma laugh. It is so entertaining!! Emma really is adorable and watching Racheal and Ross trying to be good parents together is fun. I don't quite get the whole drama with Charlie and Ross and Joey, it is so not the best love triangle in the series. Still funny though!A Brilliant Season - Cloudman
If someone asked me which season of Friends is my favorite, season 2 would be my reply. However, season 9 is a close second despite the inclusion of yet another flashback episode (one of my biggest pet peaves) "The One With the Christmas in Tulsa".
Season 9 makes a great comeback from the previous 2 years and has a very different modern look and feel overall. However the true success of this season was allowing comedy to once again take the lead from drama as the predominant theme over each episode and the whole season.
Matthew Perry's character, "Chandler Bing" explodes back onto the comedy scene in season 9 with his quick wit and spastic animation seen in first 3 seasons. No longer does he seem like just an extra on the show. Even episodes that feature a script around Phoebe (which are usually pretty lame) are more enjoyable. The writing all around really improves.
If you like Friends for comedy and a full cohort of quality episodes, season 2 and season 9 come out on top.
