Married With Children: Season 3
3 disc set contains all 22 episodes from the third season!
There goes the neighborhood...all over again! Third time's a charm as Married With Children the complete third season has even more twisted fun in boldly subverting TV's domestic nest, smashing taboos and stereotypes as this wildly popular, often controversial hit series broke all the rules, dirtying up TV's prim and proper landscape on its way to earning a place in pop-culture infamy. Petty, backstabbing, and always at each other's throats - just the way we like 'em - the Bundys became true American icons during their original hit run, holding up a cracked mirror to our own lives, damaged goods and all.

By season three, the writers of this show were really hitting their stride. The wit of the comedy makes me laugh out loud quite a bit all through my revisiting of the great sitcom.
The only problem I have with this season is the replacement of the "Love and mariage" theme song with some crappy generic music. I have read that it was a licensing issue, so it is not really the fau;t pf the producers of this DVD, but it still bothered me a little bit.
But, all in all, definitely worth a watch for fans!Ba-Whoosh - Film_Prophet1
Another Great season from the ultimate anti-family sitcom. This one is arguably the best season of all time.
the main reason that it was the season where it finally got the recognition it deserved. During this season, A Minessota Housewife tried to get the show cancelled for it's content. As always, it's ratings increased and stayed on the air. Since then, Fox has been sending a fruit basket every thanksgiving.
It is also the first time we get a glimps of dumb Kelly. In one episode, Bud tutors Kelly for the exam with inaccurate information(Shakespeare, the friendly Ghost, anyone). When he finally teaches her real information, she forgets who Al is and thinks Bud is the dog.
Many great episodes, including "The Dateless Amigo" when Bud tries to get a date and resorts to disguising a mannequin as a woman.
And then there was the infamous "I'll See you in Court" where Al and Peg find out that a hotel has taped Steve and Marcy having sex. It has Al's best line: "I don't wanna have sex with you. You're my wife for God sakes".
Of course no one can call themselves a fan unless they have seen the episode "A Dump of our own" included on this disk. It is the episode where Al builds his own private bathroom. this episode hits a home run from the first second when Peg suggest she make an omlette out of an egg and M&Ms. It also contains some of the funniest lines ever including Al's appraisal of the Fergison toilet with the "Man's Flush, Ba-Whoosh". and my favourite line:
Peg: What does that toilet have that I don't?
Al: A Job.
One Question I want to know is, why the ^#%# did they change the theme song? "Love and Marriage" set the tone perfectly for the show. It seemed out to torment poor Al. The new theme song was one of the worst theme songs I have ever heard. It sounds like a teletubbies song. I am thankful that SpikeTV kept using "Love and Marriage" when they started showing "Married with ChildrenMore Classic Bundyisms - kav2001c
Big changes in this season, this dvd was delayed forever due to licensing issues
After months of being unable to negotiate a settlement, the studios finally decided to just cut out the classic "Love and Marriage" theme song and sell the dvd with alternate music
Purists may hate the new music, but at least you get to see more MWC episodes, albeit in an edited form
Season three the writers have really started hitting thier marks, and the actors are getting in the groove, this is the start of the golden Bundy era
Features classic episodes such as Al buys a Ferguson, the women get thier periods during a camping trip, Al returns a late library book, the infamous lost episode, Peggy sells make up from home, the high school reunion episodes, Al invents Shoe Lights, the Bundys buy a computer and the Bundys go to the beach
