Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman - Season 1
Casting a fresh look on a timeless legend, this exciting, action-packed update of the DC Comics Superman captures the daring exploits of the mysterious visitor from another planet and brings the city of Metropolis to life. Originally aired in the 90's on ABC, this humorously romantic action/adventure hour-long series puts a modern twist on the time-honored, legendary superhero, bringing to life the comic book characters Clark Kent (Dean Cain); his superhuman alter-ego, Superman; and Lois Lane (Teri Hatcher), fiction's first lady of the press, in the most unrequited romance of all time.

I thought the F/X and production values of this show where great at the time. Now that I’m older and more jaded, it looks kind of cheesy.
I do like the charm and chemistry of the actors however. The stories and plots where written with kid gloves, which adds to the cheese.
Overall I would give this a mild thumbs up.Finally on DVD!!!!! - Susan
This show was my favourite show when it was on TV and it is still one of my ultimate favourites. Season 1 is the best season of all. You have the amazing chemistry between Teri Hatcher and Dean Cain as Lois & Clark fighting their feelings for each other; John Shea as the ever manipulative, villainous Lex Luthor; Michael Landes as the best Jimmy Olsen ever; and Lane Smith with the performance of a lifetime as the amazing Perry White! If you're in the mood for fun, action and romance - than this is the show for you!Just Super - ejdylan
One of my favorite tv series that has ever been made. Now growing up a huge Superman fan, to find out that they would be making a show about my childhood hero was too good to be true.
I remember how good this show was, especially during the 1st two seasons as each and every week Lois Lane would get closer and closer to discovering that Superman was indeed Clark Kent.
It would drive me crazy how the writers would use some trick to have her doubt herself. The episode where Clark ask's for Lois's hand in marriage and she takes off his glasses, asking if it is "Superman" or "Clark Kent" asking?
I highly recommend this series as it focuses much more on the relationship between Clark Kent and Lois Lane than it does Superman and his super abilities.
