The Giallo Collection
The word giallo (yellow) refers to the controversial series of savage Italian suspense thrillers that shocked international audiences throughout the '60s and '70s. The Giallo Collection presents these rarely seen classics fully restored from original vault elements and filled with all the explicit sex, graphic violence and startling twist endings that have come to define this brutal, stylish genre.

So far only disc one viewed but I can say..... - Cine
.....that if you are a fan of sixties B and C films whether European or American you may find this interesting. Of course, it does seems dated but that's the whole idea. I ordered it to make my historical connections as a self taught history and film student. As an Italian film "The Bloodstained Shadow" stretched the boundaries at the time. It involves violence (it is after all a slasher film)and some sexual content and they have even thrown in a Catholic priest character. I will reveal no more as I don't like it when other reviewers spill the whole plot in these reviews. The english dubbing is a little distracting as I would have preferred subtitles myself. All in all, the quality of the cinematography is good but if you are not into this genre and have no historical or cultural interest in the past of film then you may wish to continue on the Most Rented section.....this plot definitely includes murder and sex and euro 70's B movie dialogue. Enjoy! Ciao.
