The Hitchhiker: Volume 2
Page Fletcher is "The Hitchhiker," walking a lonely road where terror waits around every curve. Walk with him, and you'll find yourself in some very dark places-places you wouldn't want to visit alone. That's why he's there. That's why he's always there. He won't hold your hand-but he'll make sure the only ones who get hurt are those who deserve to.

Bizarre and Twisted - newdaysof
The Hitchhiker really has nothing to do with hitchhiking. The hitchhiker character only appears for a brief moment at the end of the story as a narrator who explains what the story was about.
Each episode is a short story along the lines of Alfred Hitchcock or the Twilight Zone, but these stories are even more bizarre, twisted and illogical. The stories and plots are very weak, the script, dialogue, acting, editing and directing is slightly amateurish even though there are appearances by big-name actors like Elliot Gould, Tom Skeritt and Gene Simmons.
Each story is supposed to have some kind of moral where the bad guy gets it in the end, but the plots are so bizarre and unbelievable and at times downright stupid, that the characters and moral code are meaningless.
As a footnote, most of the episodes were filmed in and around Vancouver in the mid to late 80's so it's interesting to catch glimpses of the landscape from time to time.
