Charlie's Angels in a dystopian future, with plenty of skin and action. Sounds like a fun format, and it would be if only the writing were better. But it's not. Gina Torres is a perfect hard-bitten, beautiful warrior-woman--so watch her in Joss Whedon's "Firefly" and "Serenity." The other two angels are buff and beautiful, too. The one good thing about this series is that it suggests adolescent boys want strong women rather than delicate flowers.TV needs more shows like this - Chris_W_(ON)
I largely avoided shows like this, but I caught a few episodes in this series twilight months, when it was probably a forgone conclusion it wasn't going to return for another season. I was hooked about 10 minutes into the first episode I watched.
It's cheesy, but it's fun. Few television series can claim that. Most are to brooding or full of their own self rigtheous destiny that I actually can't stand watching them.
While I am not saying we need more BAD TV, we need more shows that are actually quite witty and well written, but not taking things so seriously that fun is lost. I knew this show was a winner when I watched the characters act in a set made up almost entirely of yogurt containers, I mean, if you can make a show this entertaining on a shoe string budget, what is the excuse of other shows costing millions per episode?
When you get around the cheesiness, you see a rather intriguing premise to the series with a plot I am sure could have been elaborated on more if more seaons where made.
My biggest warning is you will get hooked into this series and love it but when it gets good, thats it, there is no more. The series finale leaves you wanting more.trashy, tongue in cheek fun - tubeschematic
well, implausable as it is, its in the vein of LEXX, somewhat...i liked it,but it wasnt gluing me to the tv or anything..it has a BIT of the absurd humour of farscape, but not really a ton of plot developement..i couldnt sit through more than about 6 of them, before needing a break.
hard to believe the same producer did spider man two.
cheap fun tv, if you are, like me a sci fi person looking for ANY reasonable escapist fodder.
