Doogie Howser, M.D.: Season 2
Douglas "Doogie" Howser (Neil Patrick Harris) may now be 17 years old, but balancing the demands of being a doctor and trying to live like a normal teenager is harder than ever. In Doogie Howser, M.D.: Season 2, Doogie is plagued by odd dreams about missing his youth, helps best friend Vinnie (Max Casella) deliver his French teacher's baby, has doubts about his relationship with his girlfriend Wanda (Lisa Dean Ryan), and learns about himself and his world while treating patients that include a down-and-out blues legend, a basketball superstar, a beautiful model, a rich hypochondriac, an artist with AIDS, and more.

We quite enjoyed watching Season One recently and Season Two didn't disappoint as a follow-up.
It amazes us though, in the days of complete medical accuracy on television with shows like ER, just how little jargon actually makes its way into this show. It's kind of sweet, for instance, that umbilical cords don't need to be cut when babies are born. Also, the complete predictable format of the show, always ending with the lesson that Doogie learned is oddly remniscant of the final moment of Jerry Springer. My other comment comes out of concern. I really don't know what's going on with Doogie and Wanda. I can't tell you the last time I saw them go on a date.
This show is certainly a lot of fun, moreso since I saw a movie poster for an upcoming movie that has Neil Patrick Harris (or simply NPH) riding a unicorn. Don't take it too seriously and you'll like it.
