The Magnificent Seven: Season 1
The Legend Rides Again
Michael Biehn (The Terminator), Ron Perlman (Hellboy), and Eric Close (TV's Without a Trace) continue the saga made famous by John Sturges' classic 1960 film The Magnificent Seven in season 1 of this action-packed television series. Learning from each other and forming their own code of ethics, The Magnificent Seven vow to defeat the outlaws of the West and gain the respect of the common folk. The seven men include their embittered leader, a former gun-for-hire seeking redemption; a sharpshooter and bounty hunter; a former slave who becomes a healer; a young and cocky Eastern-bred idealist; a smooth-talking con-artist; a womanizing gunslinger; and a former priest turned eccentric prophet. With each episode, their legend grows through their heroic tales of friendship, loyalty and justice.

A Good Ride - Movie_Fan
The television series based on the classic western "The Magnificent Seven" didn't last very long but it was a good ride.
Season 1 consists of the pilot television movie plus nine episodes. The pilot, a reworking of the original theatrical movie, is probably the weakest episode. It can't compare with the original. However, the subsequent episodes with more original plots improve considerably. The action sequences are well done under the limitations of television. More importantly, the characters are well developed and add to the appreciation of the series.
Each disc has the equivalent of five episodes. This really stretches the bit rate for the transfer. Picture quality is fair because grain is a problem at times.
The Bottom Line: Well worth a rental.Magnificent Seven - Destroyer
This tv series is kinda campy but it's still entertaining. The actors are really showing their age and what happens when you don't have real work anymore. This series is action packed with alot of gun fights, show downs, hoe downs, and testosterone. All in all it is a great series if you love westerns and like a good laugh.
