Archie Bunker's Place: Season 1 continued where All in the Family left off, providing TV viewers with 4 more seasons of Archie's hilariously bigoted views and misadventures. Archie bought his favourite bar, formerly known as Kelsey's Place, in the second-to-last season of All in the Family, and it provided him with ample opportunities to give his opinions on everything. Just like in the original series, however, there are people around who won't let him get away with saying just anything: his niece, Stephanie, and his employees (all of whom are a bit more ethnic than Archie would like) all help to keep Archie in line. The result was more of what kept viewers coming back to the original series: hilarious comedy that offered surprising depth behind the laugh track.
