Not being a very big fan of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, I was hoping that this 2-disc DVD package would impress me. Not really. The live gig is a bit on the short side with less than a dozen tunes and it has been seriously edited. I always prefer to see a set from begining to end to get an idea of the atmosphere escalation. Here they show the first song of the set, then they obviously jump much later into the show and they keep doing that throughout, even mixing images from different shows. The other disc contains a documentary on a North American tour they did in the early '90s I believe. It is as non-informative as possible with no narration, no interviews; it's basically a montage of various images taken during the tour. Rather disappointing. I saw them on DVD compilations of various festivals and that was much better; I guess you should take them in smaller doses if you are not a real fan...
