Prison Break: Season 1
Most men would do anything to get out of Foc River Penitentiary, but Michael Scofield will do anything to get in. His brother Lincoln has been sentenced to die for a crime he did not commit, and the only way to save him is from the inside out. Armed with prison blueprints and an impossibly intricate escape plan, Michael gets himself incarcerated, and the race against time is one. Now, he'll need all of the cunning, daring, and luck he can muster... along with the assistance of some of the prison's most vile and dangerous felons.

Better than Lost - thehabsfan
I am a big fan of Lost. But I have to say that Prison Break: Season 1 is better than any season of Lost. There are multiple twists in every episode and almost every episode ends on a cliffhanger.
If you are a fan of 24 and other action-heavy shows, watch Prison Break. This show was made to be watched on DVD.Amazing show! - DJLola
This is by far one of the best series I've ever watched! I love that all the characters have an equal importance in the show, making it a lot more interesting. I found that the acting in this show was great. Some actors were even so good that they gave me goosebumps. An Excellent "THINKING MAN's" show. - Flamin_Mo
This is one of the best "thinking man's" TV show's I've seen in a number of years.
And Yes, I say the term MAN (generically) - to include all men & women.
I watched all 22 episodes in 4 days (thanks to the advent of DVD). From the moment I saw the location of the embedded MAP of the Prison at the end of the PILOT episode, I was hooked. I had to see more. I even got goosebumps, looking forward to the remaining 21 episodes. The writer's skillfully ended each episode, much in the same format as the old CLIFFHANGER TV series of Yesteryear. Each episode left you wanting more, puting you in a state of mind simply "CRAVING" to see the next episode. A skill that has often been overlooked in most of the TV series nowadays.
A Definite "Thinking Man's" show indeed. Throughout each episode, you are constantly exposed to the depth & detail of thought of the main character (Scofield). This is achieved in such a way to keep the interest peaked, whereby the viewer is always guessing as to which way the plot might be taken in the next few minutes. Almost like a cliffhanger within a cliffhanger. This ability by the writer's and actors, help to maintain PRISON BREAK as one of the most enjoyable shows to watch from start to finish of each episode. There is very little filler in this show. Only relevent story line and drama.
If you watch only ONE or TWO TV series a year, Make sure you put PRISON BREAK at the top of the list. You will not be disappointed. I Guarantee it. If you are not 100% satisfied with this TV show, I will personally mow your lawn for a year. LOL.
ENJOY... (I Guarantee it) !
