Surprisingly not a bad series. The ending leaves a perfect starter for season 2 but it got cancelled. A little cheesy at times but overall it was worth watching. Not sure why Eddie had to have his uniform shirt undone the entire series. Pretty good special effects as well considering this was just a TV series. Was a little skeptical to start but I'm glad I watched it and would have no problem reccomending it to someone to watch.Okay series. Not nearly as good as Threshold, which came out the same year. - MsFan24
This series started out strong and each episode has its own cliffhanger ending to keep your interest until you watch the next one, but something seems to be missing. I don't know if it is because the cast is missing someone to give the show some oomph or what, but something seems to be wanting in this show. I can't quite put my finger on what the plot is and what I continue to watch for, but it keeps your interest with the stories of the hurricane and the families intertwined in the Florida town where the lights came. Rent the first one only and see if it is for you.Second Chance - tmomt
The ability to review sections of this series after watching it in real time on tv is the true draw. There are effects and plot turns that I actually missed the first time around on the television. I knew I liked it but now I am truly drawn into the whole story. The interlplay of the two families and their shared but compared experiences adds a unique twist. Even though I know where we are headed the journey is better,
