How do you describe the Peter Falk as detective Columbo and annoying as he is as a detective since you already know the person or persons whom have committed the crime it is the way he comes to draw them out by his unorthodox method of annoying them with questions which he knows the answer to but just wants them to admit to itColumbo is a classic! - MsBean
Columbo is a classic! The formulaic approach stays surprisingly fresh given the variety of mystery scenarios put forward. Columbo as a character is an archetype - decades later I think we might take him for granted. And that 70's and 80's LA atmosphere makes great Sunday afternoon television. The Evidence Says.....AWESOME! - Radio_Jane
Aside from a few episodes on television eons ago, this is the first of Columbo I have seen. I grabbed the fifth season out of curiosity, and now I know I am going to watch the other 4. The first episode, with Janet Leigh, is absolutely genius. and it just keeps getting better. Check out the guest stars! Ricardo Montalban, Jack Cassidy, Hector Elizondo and Sal Mineo!!! I really liked the Mrs. Columbo too. If you like good tv this is a great pick
