Coachella: The Film
Coachella, the feature-length film based on America's premiere showcase for alternative, cutting-edge music, comes to DVD filled with one classic performance after another gathered from the six-year history of the festival. The iconic headliners and forward-looking newcomers include Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Red Hot Chili Peppers, White Stripes and many more. Coachella: The Film is already taking its place beside concert epics such as Woodstock as the musical portrait of a generation.

When I first heard this dvd was out I ran to the music store to buy it! Being an avid coachella attendee the 3 years before this Dvd was made,i was sooo excited to see what they had done to portray this festival and I was not disappointed. The live clips are amazing and the bands that I saw brought back so many happy memories of my coachella experience.I probably would have had more clips of the rapture and interpol, but I am not complaining, this is one of the best festival dvd's out there. It makes me want to go back!!!!If you ever get the chance to go to coachella go!!!!!You won't regret it!This Is How Concerts Should Be Shot - AtomicGirl
I was very impressed with the camera work and editing of this documentary about the Coachella Festival. The shooting style adds to the energy of the performances without distracting from them, and there's lots of good bonus features and clips of conversations with artists. Not all of these will be thrilling to all viewers, but I think most viewers will find a few that are of interest to them.
I would have liked more footage of some of the bands who gave really epic performances (Bjork and Flaming Lips come to mind) but this was clearly meant to be a comprehensive sampling, and there were plenty of lesser-known artists who deserved the exposure they got on this DVD.WOW!!!! - Big_J
This is a great movie laced with great performances by a wide variety of bands. It really made me wish I had spent all the money to get down to the festival at least once. Almost every performance in this film was worthy of my time, even the bands I didn't like. The list of bands on the info should hook you in, and you'll be glad they did. The interviews with the musicians talking about their favorite bands was a nice touch too.
