Corner Gas: Season 3
The most-watched comedy series in the country.
Forty kilometres from nowhere and way beyond normal is Corner Gas, an ensemble comedy series about a bunch of nobodies who get up to a whole lot of nothing in the fictional prairie town of Dog River, Saskatchewan. Starring Saskatchewan native and Gemini nominee Brent Butt, Corner Gas is a roadside service station that also shares its name with CTV’s first original narrative comedy series.
Season Three is a 3-DVD set with 19 episodes, and the W-Five Corner Gas Special.

Corner Gas was the best comedy on TV, better than anything else I have seen since. It has no laugh track, quirky characters that are still real(ish), and a lot of intelligent wordplay to go with the slapstick bits. The show does not resort to dirty jokes, sexual innuendo etc (except for a great episode about the size of your cell phone). In short, it is a great sitcom for all.
The third season was still strong, with new ideas for episodes, and the cast were all still engaged and engaging. I high recommend this season.Possibly the best Canadian creation around... next to Kids in the Hall. - movie_goer
"Corner Gas is a Guilty pleasure, a show about nothing really significant but still worth watching. If only to count how many times Oscar say's Jackass!"
Never in a million years would i imagine A show Based in Saskatchewan, that would generate so much viewership and outstanding ovation. The province has come along ways from being known for it's flat geography or being just a place you drive through (nothing more nothing less). Now it's the place to see and make time for coffee.
Sure most American shows paint an untrue image of canadians and Corner Gas doesn't help by fueling the fiction into fact. But atleast the jokes aren't offensive and the actors are well liked. I can easily see Brent as the nerdy Neigbor or the guy at a comicon convention and wanda whose that girl in school that states she not a force to be reckonded. Each character is a reincarnation of someone we know or grew up with. And lets face it, sometimes mindless Television is exactly what the doctor ordered on a long stressful day at the office.Good, but..... no DVD commentaries?! - cyrus
The 3rd Season of Corner Gas is worth watching, but overall, it fell slightly short of the 2nd season.
The show is funny and unique, and I really enjoyed watching most episodes... but I was sorely disappointed (and surprised) that NONE of the episodes have any commentaries!
An audio commentary by Brent and some of the cast members was included on about a third of the episodes on the first 2 seasons... but this time NOTHING. This significantly reduces the replay value of episodes.
