Threshold: The Complete Series
They're here. More are coming.
Threshold is a suspenseful drama about a team of experts who are assembled when the U.S. Navy makes a chilling discovery: an extra terrestrial craft has landed in the mid-Atlantic ocean. Dr. Molly Anne Caffrey (Carla Gugino) is a government contingency analyst whose job is to devise response plans for worst-case scenarios. In a single instant, her life changes when one of those plans—Threshold—is activated by Deputy National Security Advisor J.T. Baylock (Charles S. Dutton). Armed only with her hypothetical strategy to address the appearance of aliens on earth, Caffrey now finds herself thrust in the midst of a global crisis. She hand-picks a team of eclectic specialists to prepare for first contact: Dr. Nigel Fenway (Brent Spiner), a disillusioned NASA microbiologist; Lucas Pegg (Rob Benedict), a brilliant but neurotic physicist; Arthur Ramsey (Peter Dinklage), an expert in languages and mathematics; and Cavennaugh (Brian Van Holt), a highly trained covert operative with a mysterious past. Together, they decipher the intention of the craft, the fate of the ship's crew and begin preparations for the possibility of a crisis situation—an alien invasion.

Surprisingly good series - Coconut_Willy
I have recently started to go back to a few short-lived series that I did not have a chance to watch at the time they aired as they are readily available here. I was pleasantly surprised with this one as the pilot really hooked me in. I have to admit though that the rest of the series is a bit inferior but it was a very good concept that opened many doors to the production team. The ensemble cast worked fairly well together and did an above average acting job, at least for television. The sets and locations are also way above average for television as budget is usually limited. Despite the fact that some episodes are a bit questionable, this is a pretty good sci-fi series that should have been allowed to progress a bit further.Great Cast, Very Good Show - MsFan24
I just came across this show on Zip and thought it sounded interesting. I'm glad I took a chance on it, because it is absolutely fantastic. It has a decent set and effects budget, Gugino is hot, as always and Brent Spiner is back doing Sci-fi TV, how great is that? The plot centres around a ship or probe of alien origin coming to Earth and somehow infecting the people who come in contact with its signal. There is a contingency team assembled to act as a strike team, investigative unit and think tank all in one. It is very interesting and has quite a bit of action, as well. Give the first disc a shot and you'll be hooked. I did some research on the show and apparently it was because of two similar shows premiering simultaneously that year on other Networks that led to the lower than expected ratings that killed this show. Too bad, it could have been a good one.loved it - JadeRyan
Great show, worth watching even though it never finished. I was very disappointed when it was cancelled. The sci-fi plots are just believeable enough to make it quite enjoyable to watch. I loved the story line as well as the made-up science they used to kind-of explain things. The special effects were well done. This series has awesome character development in very few episodes. The lead character Molly is great, she's intelligent and serious but also has a bull dog that is her baby. The chemistry between her and the lead guy was interesting, it reminded me of Mulder and Scully.
