Oz: Season 6
On the surface, not much has changed inside the walls of Oswald State Penitentiary. Schillinger has revenge on his mind, Cyril is facing execution, Beecher is hoping for parole, and McManus is finding solace in a meditative maze. But there's toil and trouble brewing in the Oz cauldron, as the Oz players rehearse for their presentation of Macbeth and the climactic final act.

What made Oz so wonderful to view aside from the Violence and Lack of restraint for Language... was the soap opera-ish feel of the characters made it entertaining and intrigued to find criminals as Human beings and just that.
One of the strongest storylines is the ongoing romance between murderer Keller (Christopher Meloni, Law & Order: SVU and Beecher (Lee Tergesen), who's hoping to be paroled. Series creator Tom Fontana doesn't allow their arc to be diluted by any idealistic expectations. The viewer is acutely aware that Beecher is an easy target for annihilation whether or not he is released from prison. The viewer is never quite as certain of Keller's motives--whether they're borne of love and affection, or a selfish need to satisfy his own primal urges. FINALLY it was revealed.A Day In the Death. - black_kitt
I found this episode very touching. The way Ryan was explaining things to Cyral and then Oz inmates showing their suppose at being with the brothers . Bravo for the ending.
I've been enjoying the episodes very much and will be saddened when I finish the next disc.awesome - nobbymcdobby
I love prison. This show is great. Like a super long version of Escape from Alcatraz with more violence and stuff. It's amazing how many characters were killed off. I think if a prison in real life had this kind of death rate they would shut it down. Maybe I am out of touch. Started to wear by season 6, it was time for it to be paroled. Thanks for the memories...
