Everybody Hates Chris: Season 1
Inspired by his childhood experiences, comedian Chris Rock narrates the hilarious, touching story of a teenager growing up as the eldest of children in Brooklyn, New York during the early 1980s. Uprooted to a new neighborhood and bused into a predominantly white middle school two hours away by his strict, hard-working parents, Chris struggles to find his place while keeping his siblings in line at home and surmounting the challenges of junior high. This responsible, resilient adolescent brings a distinct, funny spin to his everyday trials and traumas in this single-camera comedy.

Probably one of my favourite shows now. - moviegenius
Everybody Hates Chris is a funny show, but in some ways, it's quite cruel humor. For example, the people at his school are very racist with him and his mom isn't too kind either. The characters are very funny and creative, though. Also, it makes you think about who Chris Rock is. If you were caught doing the stuff people were doing to him on the show today, you'd be in big trouble. This show may not be for everybody, but it is a really funny show. It may be embelished a little bit, but some of the stuff could have really happened. It's a funny show and I think it's one of my favourite TV shows, next to Big Bang Theory and Glee.Got bored of this one before the end of the 1st season - GoatMan
While this TV sitcom has something to make you smile in every episode, and the characters are cute, I found that I got bored of it very fast, so bored in fact that I didn't bother watching the whole season.
I think I'd watch it if I happened to come across it on TV when I was bored, but it's just not compelling enough to make me really look forward to seeing it.Everybody loves Chris - mt_mosquito
This was a great 1st season, very funny ideas, even for a white audience. Best line, GIRL "Where's Chris?"
MOM "Do you remember how I told Chris not to let anyone steal his bike?"
GIRL "Yeah?"
MOM "Well he didn't listen, so I slapped him into next week, he'll be back next Tuesday!" HAHAHA!
There is alot of great humor for everyone, well maybe not young childre, maybe not old people, and maybe people who don't like Chris Rock's humor, but it was all goo for me.
