Gilmore Girls: Season 6
Can it be the Gilmore Girls if the Gilmore girls aren't together? At the end of Season 5, Rory dropped out of Yale and moved into Emily and Richard's poolhouse - decisions that broke Lorelai's heart. That's handy, because one half of that heart can be deliriously happy with the big new step in her love affair with Luke. Meanwhile, the other half grieves, and it seems everyone in town wants mother and daughter to reunite. But it may take an unexpected out-of-towner to make it happen.
Of course, there's much more: Lane gets a surprise that leaves her reeling with joy. Luke gets a surprise that may send the Luke-and-Lorelai relationship reeling. What's no surprise is the snappy, wish-I'd-said-that Gilmore dialogue, knowing humor and insightful storytelling fans adore. Season 6 starts now!

The girls aren't talking, the angel dropped out of university and is dating a loser who is bad for her and possibly dangerous, and the show runners seem to think what we all want is an hour of stress after a day of it. (I don't, at least). I miss the witty banter and fun shows.Creeping elitism - luminol
I'm a little puzzled with some of the directions the Lorelai saga took this season. And I don't agree with some of them. I'm almost positive that the majority of the writers--- either during the summer hiatus or during the actual writing season suffered brain aneurysm's. Lorelai and Rory not talking? They shifted the focus away from the Stars Hollow community. But by far the worst misstep was saddling Luke with a biological daughter, I mean this is should have been a delightful complication not the insurmountable obstacle it became; making Luke so befuddled---It's almost as if they don't think the man could walk and chew gum at the same time--as if getting to know his daughter and being with Lorelai was just beyond his ken. I would have loved to have been at some of those table meetings as Scott Patterson got up and banged his head endlessly against the wall: You guys are making me look retarded! Please write something better! Please!
Also, Lorelai has always been a working class hero, independent and strong-willed, pulling herself up by her own bootstraps. Sure, she may caved for the big ticket items like a private school an ivy league education for Rory, but that was her daughter's future. They've always visited the rich man's world---like Friday night dinners but they've never really wallowed in it. But now with Christopher coming into "old money" and the Huntzberger's. It's turning into an admiration society for the rich and shameless, and a poor girls only hope for advancement is to bag herself a rich man. They weren't kidding about the dialogue! - eurguy
Whoa! One of the most entertaining series I have enjoyed. Love listening to the fast paced dialogue and bantering amongst the characters. Fun, funny and extremely witty show with alot of heart. Supremely written. Found myself completely sucked into the story lines. This is definitely not just a "chick-show", you guys will like it too.
