Writer, director and producer Bob Balaban delivers a biting animated parody of Hollywood at its dysfunctional best. Mel Wax is the head of the indie film studio Hopeless Pictures and spends most of his time on the phone with his inept psychiatrist Dr. Stein, trying to escape his annoying nephew and the promiscuous head of development. Meanwhile, his hysterical wife keeps hte home fires aflame.
