OSS 117: Le Caire, nid d'espions

"Loved every minute!"
Oss 117 the French James bond, orginally casted with Ivan Desny as Agent Hubert Bonisseur de La Bath/OSS 117 in 1956. Which went on to create more than 10 sequels and 2 prequels, the dimwitted and at times questionable agent won the hearts of millions. Includinging myself, the recently successful Oscar winner Jean Dujardin casted the reimage and heart that made the spy spoofs successful with the best adaptation. The script is hiliarious, orginal and slyly clever! It's a winner in my books!Good Spy Parody - Mookie
While I am sure this film works better if you speak French, even with subtitles there was a lot of fun to be found in this off-beat spoof of Spy movies. The lead actor is excellent and plays the suave fool perfectly. Not too dumb so he becomes annoying, and just enough charm so he makes you think of a French Sean Connery. I loved the attention to detail the director paid to give this a 60's look. Not the funniest movie I have seen this year but in the end there were quite a few laugh out loud moments.pretty funny - Padre_Hypnos
Great parody of the James Bond films of the 60's. can't go wrong with a movie featuring a chicken fight. Interesting plot works fine as a spy movie even if you don't get the humor. if you don't mind subtitles its worth a shot. a few scenes may be a little politically in correct, especially since it takes place in 1950's egypt. some of the jokes may be a little too french. but if you like spy flicks of the 60's and dry humor you might enjoy this movie too.
