Kidnapped: The Complete Series
Includes all 13 episodes!
When a teenage boy, Leo Cain (Denton), is kidnapped, his wealthy parents (Hutton, Delany) hire a former FBI agent turned "retrieval specialist" (Sisto) to work outside the law while keeping the family’s secrets behind closed doors. Meanwhile, an FBI agent (Lindo) becomes embroiled in the case while investigating the disappearance of Leo’s driver, discovering a personal connection that ties the driver to the culprit suspected of orchestrating the crime. As the FBI and the investigator proceed with independent inquiries into Leo’s disappearance, they soon find themselves entangled in a dangerous game of manipulation and deceit where everyone is a suspect and no one is safe.

Pretty good for an unpopular show - amaryllis
This show is quite good. The acting is great. I don't know which actor's performance was the best because I enjoyed them all so much. Sisto plays such a different character from his role on Six Feet Under and he does it so well!!
The plot is clever, but there's a few points that are too far-fetched. The father's rags to riches story, and his continued association with the people from his past. The agents ability to organize such a vast and impressive collection of criminals. The ruthless attitudes and ambition of all the players.
Still it's better than a lot of crime shows on television. Why Kidnapped was cancelled and CSI still on the air? - Cricri7
I had watched a couple of Kidnapped episodes when it aired on NBC, but had stopped watching it when I heard that it was canceled. I was so frustrated, because I liked it, that I did not want to watch anymore!
I decided to zip it because I knew that NBC was not airing the last episodes that had been filmed. I am watching it and am wondering why crap like CSI, NCIS and Prison break is still on the air and Kidnapped was canceled after only a couple of episodes. I have to admit that watching Jeremy Sisto is a thrill all by itself:)Cancelled but worth a look - noir
Kidnapped is a show with a one line premise "the son of a rich and powerful couple is kidnapped." I know, it sounds like Ransom and it is like Ransom in a way.
What is interesting with Kidnapped is that the simple premise is experienced through many different well fleshed out characters. To the producers credit it is very well thought out.
Now the show was cancelled before completing a full season but they did get to do an ending. The last couple of episodes do feel a little rushed and lot happens at once.
I enjoyed the show from beginning to end and I must say the cast is first rate for a TV show. From top to bottom there are solid actors at work here. What stands outs for me is the dignity that Delroy Lindo brings to his role; Jeremey Sisto who has done a lot of genre work brings a gruff and burnt out feel to his role. Timonthy Hutton as the father performs a demanding role demonstrating many different levels of his character.
Kidnapped has a good story with many twists and turns. It’s not perfect, there are a few things that hinder the story but it remains compelling and well done.
