The Closer: Season 2
Brenda's back. Finally accepted by her LAPD homicide team after a year of hard-won victories, Deputy Police Chief Brenda Johnson spends less time fighting her co-workers and more time fighting the bad guys - like whoever left a body in Provenza's garage, or dropped a porn star's head in a dumpster, or offed a drug-addicted heiress. And there's almost as much happening on the domestic scene as the crime scene: Gabriel and Daniels kindle a romance and Brenda and Fritz put the flame under theirs when Fritz moves in.

Better than season 1! - Cricri7
I watched all of season 1 and liked it more and more as the season went on. I had started out liking it, but I can not say that I flipped for it. As the season went on, all the characters began to be more grounded and the chemistry between them was more apparent. I like Kyra Sedgewick but the supporting actors are what is best about this series. Bailey and Denison make a fantastic pair of older cops that have seen it all. Chemistry on screen is not just between a man and a woman and we have the proof here. Those 2 men light up when they are on screen together. You also see it when you watch their interviews in the bonus features.
I am glad that season 2 is even better because this show is filled with talented actors that deserve their place on television.Strong Female Lead Character - GoatMan
I really like this series. Brenda is a character who is sooo likable in spite of her flaws. The plots are tight and fun and the men who surround Brenda are a motely crew indeed.
I think Season 2 has lost a bit of needed tension because Brenda has gotten her cops on-side (what else could the writers do, as they were obviously going to come around when they saw how effective she was, even for a woman in a man's world).
But still better than most cop shows on TV these days.Still One of the Best - Ralston_McTodd
Season One was excellent. Season Two continues this "police procedural" in the same intelligent vein. It's character-driven and plot-driven, with great writing and strong performances. The appeal also involves Brenda Lee's fish-in-a-new-fishbowl situation and her cracking the glass ceiling. This series is far more interesting than other ensemble cast shows that tread the same territoty.
