Against All Flags - TheWiz
This film stars Errol Flynn, but not the energetic Errol we are used to seeing. This is an actor who is acting for the $$. He was in financial dires and the Film Bosses knew Errol would sell tickets if he was featured in an adventure flick and he needed the dough. I can't think of a single reason why I'd watch this movie a second time. Predictable story line, boring sword fighting and the damsal in distress played by O'Hara is about the only somewhat bright spot. I suggest you pass on this one.A Real Gem - fairweather
"Against All Flags" is an Errol Flynn movie with Maureen O'Hara in it and it is superb. If you liked Errol Flynn movies, or Maureen O'Hara in "The Quiet Man".. this reprises those wonderful roles in a pirate setting. We loved it. An instant classic, enjoyable family entertainment. Highly recommended. Buccaneer's Girl is worth a watch, too.. entertaining, though not as good as the first title with the best known performer of the genre, Flynn.
The second set - Double Crossbones is a zany pirate COMEDY, we've never seen such a funny combination - light hearted and gay. Yankee Buccaneer is serious undercover espionage of the pirate variety, absorbing, interesting.. good with popcorn. Both disks were worth renting if you like pirate movies - great breadth of material, good acting (hammy on the zany one). Good for all age groups 10 to teen/adult. Recommended.
