CHiPS: Season 1
Jon Baker (Larry Wilcox) and Frank "Ponch" Poncherello (Erik Estrada) were two Los Angeles-based Highway Patrol officers who rode into the imaginations of millions of TV viewers in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Each episode saw the boys straddling their magnificent machines and riding off to solve some crimes - and the sight of Ponch and Baker riding through California on their bikes has become an iconic image in television history. This release includes the entire first season of the show.

CHiPS - Catahoula
A very good nostalgic view of the mid-to-late 70's TV. All the action takes place on the L.A. Freeway Network (mainly I-5 and the Harbour Freeway). If you want a great view of 70's cars and clothing you will get it here. Plots are very basic..stolen cars, bank robberies and lots of car crashes. No one gets shot or dies. There is no blood. In this sense, the series is a lot like the A-Team series.
It never fails to amaze the viewer that the the freeway system (at least in this show) is virtually free of traffic (no gridlock). This is a Family oriented series with many predictable plots and outcomes. It's a good way to pass the time especially during the desert of the current TV writers strike.
I would mildly recommend this series.
