Weeds: Season 2 (Blu-ray)
Funnier, darker and more daring, the second season of this acclaimed Showtime series reaches a higher ground. Golden Globe winner Mary-Louise Parker stars as Nancy Botwin, the soccer mom who had to learn how to deal - pot, that is - after the death of her husband. Now, her business is a hit. But keeping up with the neighbors in this suburban utopia isn't easy. She's joined up with a few of her closest friends, and together they're facing life's highs and lows - because even in paradise, nobody's perfect. Don't miss Weeds, an addictive comedy, the highest grade TV has to offer.

*Weeds* is the best sendoff of suburban life that we've seen on television, perhaps ever, certainly since Roseanne & Cosby.
To be honest Dexter brought me to Weeds, during the Hiatus I scamble to enjoy TV shows that offer Action, drama and intense atmospheres... Breaking Bad & Weeds seems to ease that edge off boredom. With great writing, and a superb cast, not to mention this new take on Malvina Reynolds' anthem (a different performer doing the song every week -- way to go for helping out the Reynolds' estate!), and the plot twists with the DEA agent and Conrad, the show surpassed my very high expectations (pun intended).you'll puff in laughter - JOE52
This TV series is really funny. It got a lot of good general jokes, political and social jokes too. It's a very intelligent Tv series. Mary Louise Parker play it well in her two roles as the familly mother and the drug dealer. I think that the second season is funnier thant the first.
Je crois que la deuxieme saison est plus drole que la premiere.Who Knew Selling Pot Could Be So Funny? - EHLTB
If you haven't seen the 1st season, then rewind your rental priority and try and get a hold of season one first. This show is a serial, so it's helpful if you watch the shows in order. As well, make sure that Zip sends you the dvds in the correct order.
With that out of the way, this is your opertunity to see the "high" jinks of Mary Louise Parker's character back in season 2 as the perky widow who sells drugs to her neighbors. The humor is less black than it was in season one, the irony not quite as biting, but the comedy still works, albeit in a less original and more familiar sit-com fashion.
