Criminal Minds: Season 2
For these FBI agents, danger lurks inside...
Criminal Minds revolves around an elite team of FBI profilers who analyze the country's most twisted criminal minds, anticipating their next moves before they strike again. Special Agent Jason Gideon (Mandy Patinkin) is the FBI's top behavioral analyst and he joins the Behavioral Analysis Unit lead by Special Agent Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson), a family man who is able to gain people's trust and unlock their secrets. Also on the team are Elle Greenaway (Lola Glaudini), an agent with a background in sexual offenses; Special Agent Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), an expert on obsessional crimes; Special Agent Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler), a classically misunderstood genius whose social IQ is as low as his intellectual IQ is high; and Jennifer "JJ" Jareau, (AJ Cook), a confident young agent who acts as the unit liaison for the team. Each member brings his or her own area of expertise to the table as they pinpoint predators' motivations and identify their emotional triggers in the attempt to stop them.

This is the best show on TV. I can watch them over and over again and have most of the seasons so far on DVD. The characters are likable Especially Dr. Reid. I like how you get to know the individuals and a bit of personal background on each of them, but it never interferes with the overall case each week. There are other shows (crime drama and medical drama) that are so wrapped up in regular characters lives that there is very little about the weekly case. Those shows should be called soap operas. I feel like these are real people and real crimes when I watch. Having good actors helps you to feel for the characters. Even with the cast changes in the first 2 seasons they made it through. I personally think the departure of Greenway and Gideon were a good move. I enjoy watching Prentiss and Rossi so much more. Rethinking the departure of JJ and Prentiss and bringing them back was the smartest move for the show. I look forward to watching many more seasons of Criminal Minds .Must Watch - movie_goer
Criminal Minds is 1 of the rare diamonds in the rough when it comes to Cable television. Mind you theres rules and laws about graphic material with primetime TV so the shows cast and crew combined creativity to bend the rules.
Criminal Minds is part formulated, and the rest is captivating, alluring suspense that keeps you on your feet and gives you 41 minutes of intelligent dioluge. This season had it's ups and down, primarily its high note was The "most prolific" serial killer who tranquilized his victuims and proved his heart could still love... even if for a moment. The Plotlines and creative team mastered "playing with its audiences emotions."Better than CSI - runnerette
I was a long standing CSI fan until I found Criminal Minds. The character development is much more subtle, but by season 2 is more profound than what you would find in CSI. Makes you think as to why crime happens and the people behind it, and isn't just about following evidence as is the case with CSI. Excellent show.
