Can't Get Enough Old School - TheShamus
As of April 2008, this is the last of the Sesame Street "Old School" series. There is a collection of 5 milestone episodes of Sesame Street along with the original "pilot" ... and crammed full of other classic Sesame clips between 1974 and 1979.
Even if you are too young to have watched during these years (I am *not* too young) ... the majority of these clips are used through the 80's, and some even to current times.
Sesame Workshop has marketted these to parents for the nostalgia factor -- and the DVD's explicitly warn they may not be suitable for today's kids (as teaching methods have changed etc).
The quality of the sound and video is just excellent, and I decided to buy these sets, because they can be watched over and over (much the same as the show itself played the same bits over and over).
The animation, music, creativity and fun helped to shape my own character -- and I appreciate that more now, looking back on this innovative learning ... which I took for granted back then!
