25th Anniversary
This edition includes:
Ridley Scott's All-New "Final Cut" Version
1982 Theatrical Version
1982 International Version
1992 Director's Cut
Workprint Version
Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) prowls the steel-and-microchip jungle of 21st-century Los Angeles. He's a "blade runner" stalking geneticaly made criminal replicants. His assignment: kill them. Their crime: wanting to be human.
The story of Blade Runner is familiar to countless fans. But few have seen it like this. Because this is director Ridley Scott's own version of his sci-fi classic. This new version omits Deckard's voiceover narration, develops in slightly greater detail the romance between Deckard and Rachael (Sean Young) and removes the "uplifting" finale. The result is a heightened emotional impact: a great film made greater. Most intriguing of all is a newly included unicorn vision that suggests Deckard may be a humanoid. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? Is Deckard a replicant? As with all things in the future, you must discover the answer yourself.

I dare you to find someone who likes the normal version of this movie with that awfukl narration because if you do yrhey're just lying to you to get a rise out of you what were they thinkign with tthat i dont know it's so bad sosososososo bad i cant believe a narration like that happeneddour and suspenseless science fiction film never connects emotionally - clauditorium
Rutger Hauer gives a perfectly convincing performance, the production design is eye-popping, and the music is richly atmospheric, but this mostly dour and suspenseless science fiction film never connects emotionally and doesn’t reach the operatic beauty it aims for.Yet another edition . . . yawn. - EHLTB
With this release it becomes official that Blade Runner is simply a cash cow. There's really nothing new to see here if you've seen earlier editions, and in fact, you'd do just as well to watch one of the older ones than to stick this one on your zip list. On the upside, it does look good and sound good in blu-ray, but it's still hardly worth your time. Frankly, if you're not watching this one in a theatre, then don't bother with it. Harrison Ford is more wooden than pinnochio, Vangelis has not stood the test of time, and frankly the narrative seems a bit flabby by contemporary standards.
