I never saw this series on TV but a friend told me it was very good. She wasn't kidding, I watched the first disk on Saturday. Five episodes after each other. I couldn't stop. I can't wait for the next disk to arrive in the mail.
The acting is superb, the story has me on the edge of my seat. You can't guess what happens next.
Glenn Close and Rose Byrne are terrific. Ted Danson is also a very good actor. This is so unlike his usual funny, light hearted roles.
I really recommend this series.Highly Addictive Series - CadyMae
This show has it all - strong plot lines, excellent scripts, smart acting, and enough twists and turns that at the end of every episode you want more. Glenn Close plays a super part as Patty Hewes, a top class-action litigator. Season 1 focuses on the Frobisher case, and if you think that one case is not enough to sustain the tension and momentum for an entire season, you would be wrong. Plot twists, murders, intrigue, and surpises keep you interested and trying to figure out who did what to whom and what's going to happen next.
The actors, writers, producers and everyone involved in Damages has done a superb job. Can't wait to watch Season 2!Close to Perfect - Shanex
Glenn Close's superior acting skills aren't the only thing making this TV drama a work of art; it's the writing, the lighting, the sets, the direction and the cinematography. The "bad guy" role revolves around various characters and it's never really clear if the "good guy" role belongs to any one character in particular....except perhaps a dog or two. We watched the whole first season over the course of a weekend; just couldn't stop watching. If you like to figure things out for yourself, this is a show for you. Delicious!
