A real let down - JillThrill
I really loved this show and was long awaiting to watch the final season. The beginning of this season started off really interesting but fizzled out in the middle with several filler episodes that really had nothing to do with the most important plot of bringing Johnny, Sara and JJ closer together. Then by the last few episodes they obviously knew this would be the last season so it was all wrapped into a finale that could not satisy a long time fan of the show like myself. If you were a fan I would say watch the last season but don't get your hopes up. Such a great show very sad to see it be over. What a let down! - XTRUClerk
When I saw that Dead Zone was coming back for a sixth and final season I thought this was a chance for the makers of the show to finally pull together all the loose plot threads that have been out there for five seasons and wrap things up nicely. What a letdown! The whole Greg Stillson thing, which had been placed on the back burner for so much of the series, simply disappears here as Stillson becomes a... Good guy? This was an opportunity to give the series a really great ending instead of stretching it out some more. Honestly, six years is long enough to pay off any storyline, even if they are short seasons. Skip this season, shot in Montreal, it is not on par with any of the others. And I, for one, who always enjoyed the series as a sort of "further adventures of Walt Bannerman" find the show less appealing without him (he was killed in the first episode here). Cheers.
