The Vice: Season 1
"It's the crime within the crime we're interested in..."
The seedy underbelly of cosmopolitan London is the backdrop of this award-winning police drama. Prostitution, extortion, pedophilia, mutilation, rape and murder are the chief concerns of the vice unit of London's Metropolitan Police, who patrol a violent patch of turf where life is cheap... and young flesh even cheaper.
The Vice stars Ken Stott (The Singing Detective), David Harewood (Blood Diamond), Marc Warren (BBC's Dracula) and Caroline Katz (The Bill
Series One consists of three feature-length dramas:
In "Daughters", Detective Inspector Pat Chappel reaches out to a battered prostitute (Sally Hurst, Prime Suspect 6) in an attempt to nail a sleazy procurer (Struan Rodger, Prime Suspect 3) who is a suspect in the savage murder of a high class callgirl.
In "Sons", WPC Cheryl Hutchins goes undercover to nail a nightclub owner (Blackadder's Tim McInnerny) who traffics in hardcore S&M videos featuring underage boys. When she shuts the operation down cold, Chappel fears the wider investigation may be derailed.
In "Dabbling", the team's investigation of an escort agency fronting for drug traffickers is compromised when PC Raymond is unable to resist temptation.

Miserable - verano
Poor lighting and camera work throughout. The weak writing (and in some cases, delivery of lines by actors) makes this series truly miserable to watch. I zipped the entire series, but then gave up after the first disc and returned the next one unwatched.
